Baked Spaghetti Squash with Tomato Sauce

Baked Spaghetti Squash with Tomato Sauce

Before there were zucchini noodles, there was spaghetti squash. Once baked, you have squash ready to stand up to tomato sauce or other sauce.

Serves 2-4 depending on the size of the spaghetti squash

Ingredients:

1 Spaghetti Squash

My Easy Tomato Sauce - or your favorite tomato sauce

Parmesan Cheese

Method:

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit

Split the spaghetti squash in half and remove the seeds. Place on a baking sheet and sprinkle with salt & pepper. Bake until tender (30-40 minutes depending on the size of your squash).

Once tender, remove from the oven and let cool.

To remove the squash, use a fork and scrape the flesh into a baking dish.

Once all the squash is in the baking dish, add the tomato sauce. and mix to combine. Sprinkle the top with Parmesan cheese. Bake for 10-15 minutes to warm through the sauce and the cheese is slightly golden.

This is delicious with a salad or with meatballs, sausage, or even with chicken parmesan.
