Nana's Lentil Soup

I'm excited to share with you a treasured family recipe that's close to my heart: Nana's Lentil Soup. This soup holds a special place in my memories, taking me back to those warm and wonderful lunches at my Nana's house.

As a child, I remember sitting around her kitchen table, the one that now graces my own home, eagerly anticipating the moment when she would ladle the steaming soup into our bowls. The pot she used, another cherished heirloom, always seemed to hold a magical brew that filled the kitchen with the most inviting aroma.

These lunches were simple, yet incredibly special. They were a time for our family to come together, sharing stories and laughter as we savored each spoonful of the soup. My grandfather, returning home from work on these special visits, would always join us, making the gatherings complete. Nana would serve the soup with crusty bread and butter, or perhaps some ham and cheese for those who wanted to make an open-faced sandwich. It was a humble meal, but the love and warmth we shared made it truly extraordinary.

About Me

Hi!  I'm Jen

Cooking is a passion passed down from both of my grandmothers to my mother and then to my sister and me.

Throughout my career, I was always drawn back to food.  I've learned from experienced chefs, apprenticed with professional bakers, and tasted coffee with international experts.

Today I'm sharing those experiences with you.
